a line of mini vases for your tea space + ceremony

Tea master Sen no Rikyū taught that each tea ceremony must be filled with the spirit of ichi-go ichi-e (one chance, one encounter). In the practice of Cha Dao (Way of Tea), a fresh chaxi (tea stage) is prepared for each tea ceremony as every ceremony is a unique opportunity to connect with yourself, other people, and Nature.

Each miniature vase holds a few drops of water and a pinch of wildflower buds, sprig of herbs, or other decorative item to adorn your tea table and celebrate this present moment.

Heraclitus famously said, “You cannot step into the same river twice.” These miniature vases are river-stone shaped like the stones at the bottom of the changing river of life. They also represent the stone by stone building blocks of an international Zen + tea center in Miaoli, Taiwan.

A portion of the profits from these vases will be donated to building Light Meets Life, a permanent home for the Global Tea Hut tradition’s students and free tea courses.
